Christmas...A Season for Excuses

I've got to get this off my chest.  I've been a a trainer for over 12 years now and I've heard a lot of excuses.  Now that Christmas time and the holidays are approaching the excuses seem to be on the increase.

I hear this each year, "I'll begin eating well when the New Year comes", but in the meantime I'm going to gorge on sweets, rich food, and excess alcohol.

I just don't get it.  Why not eat in moderation, and train in moderation during the holidays.  You'll at least stay within reach of your current weight.

Instead people will go overboard, then with their heavier bodies, set unrealistic goals on Jan. 1st, and by Jan 15th be ready to give up.

Results take hard work and consistency.  You body doesn't realize that it's the holiday time of year.  This year give yourself a better present.  Keep up your training so when everyone else is setting goals for the New Year, you already have a head start.
